Celtic Daily Prayer

This prayer book, a real treasure trove of devotion, draws on the Celtic Christian traditions, and is a huge and rewarding resource. It includes morning, noon, and evening prayers, meditations, saints' lives, and two years' worth of daily devotionals. Though it is based in tradition, it is modern in its intent and its selections. It includes sabbath prayers adapted from the Jewish tradition, and prayers relating to life cycles such as birth, death, marriage, etc. This prayer book honors and reflects a modern day reverence for the simple, monastic experience, and it is edited by the Northumbria community, a group of people from around the globe who share a spiritual connection to the old Celtic Christian ways of worship.
